Will the coupon do the job?
So you’ve spoken to our
account handlers at Valassis and with their help decided on the
offer,
value and
distribution method for your coupons. You’ve worked out your campaign
barcodes,
designed your coupon and you’re about to give the green light to go.
Woah! Hang on…there’s one more thing to do BEFORE you press that button and give the go-ahead for thousands of e-coupons to go out.
That thing is Test Scanning
If you haven’t done this yet, please DON’T skip this step. test scanning is designed to make sure your coupons scan and work properly. Trust us – you don’t want to find out there’s a basic error on the coupon which means it’s easier for consumers to misredeem.
It costs a lot of extra time and money to put that right.
To make sure there’s nothing amiss with your coupons, send us the final webpage link to your coupons or email/text us a test, and we’ll go over them with a fine toothcomb and make sure they download and print properly.
Obviously there’s only so much you can do if the consumer’s printer is such poor quality an Internet coupon is questioned at Point-of-Sale, but you can make sure that everything up until the point of printing works fine.
