Valassis brought a chocolate brand and leading furniture retailer together through a seasonal promotion to drive footfall and achieve 50k+ sales

A confectionary brand needed to demonstrate value to a furniture retailer in promoting their products at point-of-sale in peak season. They came to Valassis for the answer.

A premium chocolate manufacturer wanted to sell at point of sale around the festive season. Their retail partner needed more from the arrangement.
Together we created a mechanic that connected first purchase to a unique retailer discount, exciting them with a competition aspect, influencing the shopper to return or extend their visit.
We included unique codes inside participating packs of chocolate. The shopper bought the chocolate to access the code which gave them a discount on their basket at the retailer, ranging from 5-500 Euro. The shopper visited a web-page to upload the unique code from the chocolate and was issued with the related retail discount.
The campaign drove 120k visits (95% on mobile) with 28% repeat purchases. Both clients are repeating the campaign and extending to new markets.
