Our client came to us with an ambitious brief. Not only did they want to drive sales and increase brand awareness, they also wanted to secure a better listing and shelf space at one of their national retail partners – all with a single promotion.
Understanding that a compelling offer would be required to secure better shelf space at the supermarket and drive high consumer engagement, we proposed a try me free campaign. We also knew it would be important to expose as many shoppers as possible to the offer and proposed a media partnership to achieve this.
Leveraging our partnership with the offers destination KaufDA, we promoted the offer within the app. To take part, consumers needed to visit the partner retailer, purchase the product and upload their proof of purchase and bank details for reimbursement. Valassis operated in the background, ensuring all consumer touchpoints were in the client brand.
Within just four weeks, our campaign delivered increased brand awareness by achieving more than 8 million impressions of the campaign ads and drove 10k customers to purchase the product via cashback. Both retailer and client were delighted with the results – creating a strong foundation for future collaborations between them.
